What is a misdiagnosis claim?
Misdiagnosis is a common type of medical negligence and it comes in two different forms. There is medical negligence either where an injury or illness is completely undiagnosed or diagnosis is delayed, or where an incorrect diagnosis is given. Both of these situations can cause serious problems for a patient and can have a big impact upon their future.
Do I have a claim?
Any form of medical negligence is a breach of a medical practitioner’s duty to their patient. If the treatment provided by a practitioner falls below an acceptable standard, this will constitute a breach of this duty. If that negligence has resulted in an injury or illness, or the worsening of a current injury or illness, then you may be able to make a claim.
How can Davies and Partners help me?
At Davies and Partners, we have a team of specialist medical negligence solicitors who have years of experience representing clients who have suffered complications resulting from a misdiagnosis or failed diagnosis of their condition.
Our team is dedicated to providing a first class service to all of our clients, providing them with expert advice and support throughout their claim.
We will begin by providing you with a free initial consultation where we will listen to your concerns and obtain the necessary information from you, in order to allow us to assess the validity of your claim.
We strive to provide the best methods of funding for you as a client. We have a whole range of options available, which include ‘no win no fee’ agreements. Once funding has been set up, we will obtain your medical records and these will be viewed by an independent medical expert who will analyse the treatment you have received and the effect this has had on your condition. The medical expert will then put together a report on breach and causation. Provided this report is supportive of your claim, we will then serve a letter of claim on the Defendant.
Our solicitors take an holistic approach to the work they do on all claims, ensuring that a client is supported every step of the way. They are always on hand to answer any questions or queries you have. They dedicate their time to putting forward the strongest case possible for you, in a bid to provide you with the compensation you deserve.
