Elderly Care Dilemma

Thursday, 24 April 2014 18:45

News report today highlight the findings of an Institute for Public Policy Research report which indicates that by 2017 the number of elderly people requiring care will be exceed the number of family members able to provide it. The report suggests that ‘new community institutions’ will need to be built to address this.

Older patients are all too often let down by health and care professionals and with the aging population rising, the services are increasingly stretched. The Clinical Negligence Team at Davies and Partners has a wealth of experience in this area and although some older patients have complex needs, sadly many cases we have seen concern basic, preventable failings.

Please contact a member of our team for advice if you or a loved one has experienced difficulties or concerns with care provided to an older patient.
